System76 has revealed the Adder Pro, a new high-end Linux laptop aimed at gamers, developers, and creative professionals. The new model replaces the older Adder WS with a slimmer design while packing more powerful hardware.
Built for demanding workloads
The Adder Pro runs on Intel’s Core Ultra 7 356H processor and can be paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 graphics. Buyers can also configure the laptop with up to 96 GB of memory and as much as 4 TB of SSD storage.
One of the biggest changes is the new 16-inch 2K OLED display. It offers a 165 Hz refresh rate, a claimed 1 ms response time, 500 nits of brightness, and full DCI-P3 colour coverage. System76 says the panel is designed to deliver sharper text, deeper blacks, and smoother motion than the previous model.

A lighter design with Linux in mind
The Adder Pro weighs around 3.37 pounds, making it noticeably lighter than its predecessor. System76 says hybrid graphics automatically switch between the integrated GPU and the dedicated NVIDIA card to improve battery life when gaming is not required.
The laptop is also aimed at developers and creators. It supports software such as Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Krita, Unity, and Godot. Users can also connect up to three external 4K displays for a larger workspace.

System76 has confirmed that the Adder Pro starts at $2,499, with higher-end configurations available for users who need additional memory, storage, or graphics power.
