Wolverine gets exciting new gameplay trailer ahead of September launch

Marvel’s Wolverine Wolverine gets exciting new gameplay trailer, giving players a closer look at the action, story, and characters ahead of its release. Alongside the seven-minute gameplay showcase, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games have also confirmed that pre-orders for the game are now available.

The new footage offers a deeper look at Logan’s journey in this PlayStation 5 exclusive adventure. The story follows Wolverine as he searches for a group of mutants captured by the Reavers, a dangerous cybernetic mercenary group. The captured mutants are being delivered to Bolivar Trask, a wealthy industrialist who believes humans are superior to mutants.

The trailer also introduces Jean Grey, a powerful mutant who becomes an important ally during Logan’s mission. Together, they face growing threats while trying to protect mutants who are forced to live in hiding from a world that fears them.

Combat remains one of the biggest highlights of Marvel’s Wolverine. Logan can sneak up on enemies, launch surprise attacks, and use his iconic claws in fast and brutal battles. Players will also be able to perform special combat abilities known as Techniques, including moves such as Tornado Spin and Bull Rush.

Jean Grey supports Logan with powerful telekinetic attacks that can weaken enemies and create opportunities for devastating finishing moves. These special takedowns can be performed by Wolverine alone or alongside allies during combat.

As players fight, Logan builds up Rage through attacks, parries, and eliminations. Rage can be used to strengthen attacks or activate his famous Healing Factor, allowing him to recover from serious injuries. When Rage reaches its highest level, Wolverine enters a powerful state inspired by Marvel’s Black, White, and Blood comic series.

The gameplay trailer also features a high-speed motorcycle sequence where Wolverine chases enemies along a highway. Players can slash vehicle tyres, attack enemy trucks, and battle powerful foes while moving between vehicles.

Insomniac Games has also confirmed a wide range of accessibility features for players with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor disabilities. More details about these options are available through the game’s official support pages.
