NetEase has finally revealed the next big update for Marvel Rivals, and it looks completely unhinged in the best way possible.

Season 8, titled Sins of Alchemax, is bringing Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur to the roster. Yes, that means players will soon be fighting as a laser-eyed X-Man and a massive red dinosaur in the same match.

The first trailer dropped on 15th May and wasted no time showing chaos across the battlefield. Cyclops storms through Alchemax troops with optic blasts that practically tear the map apart. The destruction feels massive, even by Marvel Rivals standards.

Things get heavier when Cyclops discovers Moon Girl trapped under debris during the attack. He appears to lose control for a moment, blasting the area around him before security forces drag both characters away.

Then comes the real surprise.

Moon Girl’s pendant suddenly activates, calling Devil Dinosaur into action. The giant creature charges into the conflict, seemingly setting up the centre of Season 8’s story.

Right now, it looks like Devil Dinosaur will arrive at launch, while Cyclops may appear later through the mid-season update. NetEase has not fully confirmed the release order yet, but fans are already piecing together clues from the trailer.

Players are also wondering whether Moon Girl will become playable later on. Considering how closely tied she is to Devil Dinosaur, it would not be shocking.

Either way, Season 8 already looks far louder and far messier than the current season. That is probably exactly what Marvel Rivals players wanted.
