Players who have already finished Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced may soon have a reason to return. Ubisoft has confirmed that New Game Plus is now being worked on following the game’s strong launch.
The remake arrived on 9 July and quickly became a major success. More than two million copies were sold during its first day on sale. That early response has encouraged the team to keep adding new content.
A familiar feature is on the way
Game director Richard Knight shared the update during a conversation with YouTuber JorRaptor. He said New Game Plus is one of the studio’s main priorities.
Knight did not reveal when the update will be released. However, he explained that the feature should be easier to build because the developers already created a similar system for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

That means the team can improve existing work instead of starting from scratch.
Faster development could help
Using technology from another game should make development smoother. It also lowers the chance of delays, as many of the core systems already exist.
Ubisoft has not announced a launch date yet. Even so, the latest update suggests the mode is moving forward at a steady pace.

For players hoping to replay Edward Kenway’s adventure with all of their unlocked gear and abilities, the wait may not be too long.
