Marvel Rivals Cracks Down on Cheat Claims as NetEase Hands Out Instant Bans

Marvel Rivals

Rumours around Marvel Rivals cheating tools have been spreading fast this week, but NetEase says players have got the wrong idea.

The studio has now addressed claims suggesting the game’s anti-cheat system could be bypassed with launch commands. According to the developers, that method does not disable protection at all. It only hides a notification window while the software continues running in the background.

That clarification arrived through an official security update posted by the team after clips and tutorials started circulating online.

NetEase also confirmed it has already punished a large number of accounts tied to cheating tools and modified clients. Many of those bans are permanent.

The company says repeat offenders could face even tougher penalties. That includes hardware bans and network restrictions designed to stop players from creating fresh accounts and jumping straight back in.

Competitive shooters like Marvel Rivals live or die by trust in matchmaking. Once players believe cheating is out of control, things can collapse quickly. NetEase clearly wants to avoid that situation before it grows bigger.

Marvel Rivals continues pulling strong player numbers across PC and consoles. But like every major multiplayer release, keeping cheaters away may end up being one of the game’s biggest long-term battles.
