Rockstar has finally given fans something concrete to mark on their calendars. Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders are set to open on June 25 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, ending months of speculation about when players could secure their copy.

The announcement arrived alongside the game’s official cover art. It keeps the familiar GTA look intact, mixing bright colours, crime, and chaos into a design that instantly feels like part of the series.

The big question remains

While pre-orders are now locked in, one major detail is still missing. Rockstar and parent company Take-Two have yet to reveal how much GTA 6 will cost.

That has not stopped the rumour mill. For months, reports and online discussions have suggested the publisher could charge more than the current £70 standard for blockbuster releases. Some predictions have even pointed towards a £100 price tag for the base game.

So far, neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has confirmed anything. With pre-orders only days away, that mystery may not last much longer.

Nearly three years of waiting

The road to launch has been a long one. Since its reveal, GTA 6 has become one of the most talked-about games in the industry. Every trailer, screenshot, and update has sparked huge interest online.

The game is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. Players will head back to Vice City and the wider state of Leonida, following protagonists Jason and Lucia through Rockstar’s latest crime story.

One platform is still missing from the conversation. A PC version has not been announced, leaving many players wondering if Rockstar will once again make them wait a little longer.
