A fresh Steam leak may have just handed Forza Horizon 6 to the internet nearly two weeks early.
Reports started spreading across Reddit and leak forums this weekend after users claimed that Playground Games uploaded an unencrypted Steam build of the racing game ahead of launch. According to screenshots shared online, the files total around 155 GB.
That is more than enough for data miners to tear through.

Players on communities like CrackWatch and GamingLeaksAndRumours say the Forza Horizon 6 build was fully accessible without the usual Steam protection attached to pre-loads. A YouTube video also appeared online showing gameplay footage allegedly taken from the leaked version before being quickly shared across social media.
So far, Playground Games has not publicly addressed the situation.
If the reports are accurate, this is the second major Steam encryption mistake in just a few months. Back in March, Death Stranding 2 reportedly faced a similar issue after more than 100 GB of files appeared online before release. It is becoming a worrying trend for big-budget PC launches.

At the time of writing, there is no sign that the leak will delay release plans. Forza Horizon 6 is still expected to launch globally on 19th May.
For fans waiting to jump in properly, the finish line is still close.
