Forza Horizon 6 Is Selling Fast Before Full Release Even Begins

Forza Horizon 6

Forza Horizon 6 is off to a ridiculous start. The game is not even fully available yet, but the money is already flowing fast.

Players who bought the Premium Edition jumped in on 15th May. Everyone else gets access on 19th May. Even before that wider launch, the racing game has reportedly pulled in more than $140 million (£105 million) from Premium Edition sales alone.

That figure comes from estimates shared online after reports claimed around 1.2 million players paid for the higher-priced version of the game. At roughly £120 per copy, the numbers climb very quickly.

It is another reminder that early access editions are becoming a goldmine for publishers. Players clearly do not mind paying extra if it means getting on the road a few days sooner.

The Steam numbers back that up as well. The game reportedly crossed 178,000 concurrent players during the weekend. Those are massive figures for a racing title before its full launch even begins.

Reviews have also pushed the hype train harder. Forza Horizon 6 currently sits above 90 on Metacritic, with several critics handing out perfect scores. Most praise the game’s map, visuals, and huge car selection.

Not everyone is fully convinced, though. Some reviews mention that the overall formula still feels a little too familiar. That criticism has followed the series for years.

Still, none of that seems to be slowing things down. Forza Horizon 6 already looks like one of Xbox’s biggest launches in recent memory.
