GTA 6 update brings positive news on PC version and release plans

A new interview with Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, has shared fresh details about Grand Theft Auto VI. While there is still no sign of Trailer 3, the update still brings some clear and positive direction for fans.

One of the biggest points is the confirmation of a PC version. Until now, neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two had clearly mentioned it. Zelnick explained that the PC version will come after consoles. The reason is simple. Most players still play GTA on consoles, so the focus is first on PlayStation and Xbox.

There is also strong confirmation of marketing support from Sony. This means GTA 6 will likely be shown on PS5 and PS5 Pro in trailers and gameplay videos. A console bundle is possible, but that has not been confirmed yet. Zelnick made it clear that this deal is only about marketing, not exclusivity. The game will still release on Xbox and later on PC.

The GTA 6 game has been in development for around eight years. Expectations are extremely high, and both Rockstar and Take-Two are under pressure to deliver something special. Reports suggest that the budget is very large, showing how serious the company is about making this the biggest release possible.

As for the release date, the current target remains November 19, 2026. Zelnick said he feels confident about this window, but also made it clear that the final decision depends on Rockstar. The game will only launch when it is fully ready.

There is still no confirmed date for GTA 6 Trailer 3. However, many expect it could arrive between May and June. At the same time, the full marketing campaign and pre-orders should begin soon, which means more updates are likely very close.
