Marvel’s Wolverine turns up the violence in explosive new story trailer

Marvel's Wolverine

The wait for Marvel’s Wolverine is almost over. Insomniac Games has dropped a fresh story trailer, and it wastes no time showing just how savage Logan can be.

Named Ain’t No Hero, the cinematic trailer leans into Wolverine’s violent reputation. It delivers bloody fights, broken bones, and a version of Logan that is far from a traditional superhero. The game is still set to launch on 15 September, making it one of PlayStation’s biggest releases of the year.

Logan takes centre stage

The latest trailer follows the gameplay reveal shown during the recent State of Play event. That showcase gave players their first extended look at exploration, combat, and the game’s darker tone.

Logan is seen working alongside Jean Grey during a mission to rescue captured mutants. One surprise was the appearance of Sabertooth, who seemed willing to fight beside Wolverine instead of against him. Whether that partnership lasts remains a mystery.

The game will also feature several well-known Marvel characters, including Omega Red, Leech, and towering Sentinels, suggesting that the mutant conflict will stretch far beyond a single mission.

Physical edition confirmed

Recent reports raised concerns about Sony’s long-term plans for physical PlayStation releases. That led some fans to question whether Marvel’s Wolverine would receive a boxed edition.

Insomniac Games quickly cleared up the confusion. The studio confirmed that the game will launch on disc. Any wider changes to Sony’s physical release strategy are expected much later, so players who prefer collecting physical copies will not miss out this September.
