Tekken 8 keeps leaning harder into crossover chaos, and this latest reveal might be its wildest yet.
Bandai Namco has confirmed that Yujiro Hanma from Baki is heading to the game as a DLC fighter. The announcement arrived through a short teaser during the latest showcase, although there is one catch. Fans still have not seen actual gameplay footage.
That has not stopped the internet from losing its mind.
Yujiro is not just another anime fighter with flashy punches. In the Baki universe, he is basically treated like a natural disaster. The character is known for crushing opponents with raw strength alone, which makes him a perfect fit for Tekken 8’s brutal combat style.

The current reveal mostly focused on cinematic footage and dramatic close-ups. There was no proper look at his move list, Rage Art, or fighting stance. That usually means the character is still far away from release.
Right now, Bandai Namco says Yujiro will join the roster sometime in 2027.
That is a long wait, but crossover fighters have become a major part of Tekken 8’s identity. The game already feels more unpredictable with every season pass announcement.
The real challenge now is balance. Yujiro’s entire reputation is built around being unbeatable. Translating that into a fair fighting game character could turn into a nightmare for competitive players.

Still, if there is one thing Tekken fans love, it is absurdly overpowered guests punching each other through walls.
