Fable Ratings in Korea and Australia Point to Autumn 2026 Release Window

Fable has just been rated in both South Korea and Australia, and that usually means one thing. The finish line is getting close.

The ratings appeared quietly this week, but fans immediately started connecting the dots. Both boards classified the game for mature audiences due to violence, strong language, and criminal behaviour tied to player choices.

The Korean rating board also included a short plot description. According to the listing, players will investigate a strange figure who is turning people into stone across Albion. That alone sounds far darker than some expected.

What matters most, though, is the timing.

South Korean ratings often appear around four or five months before release. We saw it happen with Death Stranding 2 and Metroid Prime 4. If Fable follows the same pattern, a September or October 2026 launch suddenly looks very possible.

That timing would also help Playground Games avoid the giant problem sitting later in the year. Grand Theft Auto VI is still locked for November, and almost every publisher in the industry seems terrified of landing too close to it.

There were already rumours that Fable could slip into 2027 if development dragged on. Those fears now seem less convincing. Ratings boards rarely get involved this early unless launch plans are already taking shape behind the scenes.

It also helps that Playground Games is coming off a massive win with Forza Horizon 6. The studio has momentum right now. If Fable lands this autumn and actually delivers, Xbox could finally have the fantasy RPG it has been chasing for years.
