That did not take long.
Sucker Punch has confirmed that Ghost of Yotei: Legends is no longer getting major updates. The studio shared the news in a recent blog post after the release of The Raid, which now stands as the mode’s only large-scale expansion.
According to the developers, the update was designed to close the story surrounding the Yōtei Six. That means the online mode has effectively reached the end of its planned roadmap less than two months after launch.
For some players, that feels surprisingly fast.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends kept growing for well over a year. It received balance updates, new content, and fresh reasons to return. Many expected Yotei to follow the same path. Instead, the live-service support appears far smaller in scope.
The Raid itself sounds ambitious. Lead Designer Darren Bridges described the idea as an “escape room” mixed with constant combat pressure. Players who finished it have largely praised the challenge and teamwork involved.
Still, the bigger conversation now is about longevity.

Sucker Punch has not ruled out smaller patches or bug fixes. But without future major expansions on the table, some fans are already wondering how active the mode will remain by the end of the year.
It is a quiet ending for a mode that many hoped would become much bigger.
