Most games need a few days before modders begin experimenting. Forza Horizon 6 did not even wait for launch day.
Several mods for Playground Games’ upcoming racer have already appeared on Nexus Mods ahead of early access. Players will officially jump in on 15 May, but the PC community clearly started preparing much earlier.
The early uploads are mostly focused on customisation and convenience. One mod removes the HUD entirely, giving races a cleaner and more cinematic look. Another replaces the Xbox controller prompts with PlayStation-style DualSense buttons for PC users playing with Sony hardware.

There is also a tutorial skip mod already making rounds online. That means players can head straight into the open world instead of sitting through the opening setup again on fresh saves.
But the standout upload right now is easily the Tokyo Drift-inspired mod.
It changes the main menu presentation with music and visuals inspired by the famous film. Considering Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, the idea feels strangely fitting. It is exactly the kind of mod the community was always going to make first.
Visual reshade presets are also starting to appear. One of them pushes the lighting and colours harder to create a more dramatic street-racing atmosphere.

If modders are already uploading projects before early access begins, the full release could open the floodgates completely. Racing games live and die by their communities, and Forza Horizon 6 already looks like it has the right kind of momentum behind it.
