Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake ‘Resynced’ confirmed by Ubisoft after years of rumours

Assassins Creed Black Flag Resynced

After years of leaks and insider chatter, Ubisoft has finally acknowledged what many fans suspected: the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake is real.

In a recent blog post discussing the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Ubisoft confirmed the project is titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The message was short but clear, teasing fans to “keep your spyglass on the horizon.”

It is the first official confirmation that the fan-favourite pirate adventure is getting the remake treatment. Reports over the past year had suggested the project existed, but Ubisoft stayed quiet until now.

According to sources familiar with the plan, the game could be properly revealed sometime in mid-April, assuming the schedule doesn’t shift.

The blog post also gave quick updates on several other titles in the pipeline.

First is Assassin’s Creed Jade, the mobile entry being developed with Tencent, which remains in active development.

Then there is Assassin’s Creed Invictus, a multiplayer project that Ubisoft says may not match what recent rumours have claimed.

Finally, Assassin’s Creed Hexe is still progressing, though the studio says it needs more time to deliver on its ambitious vision. Internally, the game is reportedly one of the most anticipated projects at Ubisoft.

For now, all eyes are on Black Flag Resynced. If the April reveal holds, fans may soon return to the Caribbean for another pirate adventure.
