Delta Force is suddenly everywhere on Steam. With over 140,543 players online, it has surged past big shooters like Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty, landing in the top five most-played games.
The spike comes largely from the Morphosis update, the game’s eighth season. It adds massive destruction, a new operator, and a unique extraction twist called Fiery Owl Hunt. Fans get to play as the in-game boss, Saeed, offering a rare perspective and shaking up the usual extraction gameplay.

Big names bring big audiences
Another key factor has been the creator campaign. TiMi teamed up with top streamers like xQc, shroud, summit1g, NICKMERCS, TheBurntPeanut, and Nadeshot for Streamer Week. Their streams pulled in huge audiences, introducing Delta Force to a wider player base even though the game only launched in December 2024.
The result is a leaderboard shake-up. Delta Force now sits above Rust, just behind PUBG and Counter-Strike 2. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 has dropped to 52nd with 27,500 players, and Call of Duty is 45th with 30,300. Even popular shooters like Rainbow Six, Escape from Tarkov, and Apex Legends are trailing.

With Morphosis and the streamer push, Delta Force isn’t just a game; it’s the current Steam phenomenon. Shooter fans are clearly taking notice, and its momentum shows no sign of slowing.
