Ayaneo has officially revealed its latest Windows gaming handheld, called Next 2. This new device replaces the older Ayaneo Next model that launched back in 2022. With a bigger screen, improved design, and much stronger hardware, the Next 2 is built for serious handheld PC gaming.
The handheld comes with a large 9.06-inch OLED screen. It has a clear 2400 × 1504 resolution and supports several refresh rates, including 60 Hz, 120 Hz, 144 Hz, and 165 Hz. This allows games to feel smooth and responsive. The display can reach very high brightness, up to 1155 nits, and shows rich colours thanks to full DCI-P3 support. Eye comfort is also improved with high-frequency PWM dimming.
Under the hood, Ayaneo is offering two new AMD processor options. Users can choose the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 or the Ryzen AI Max 385. The higher-end chip features 16 cores and 32 threads and is based on AMD’s Zen 5 technology. With boost speeds reaching 5.1 GHz, this processor brings desktop-level power to a handheld device.
Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon 8060S GPU, built on RDNA 3.5 architecture. It includes 40 compute units and clocks up to 2.9 GHz, making it capable of running modern PC games smoothly. The processor also includes an AI engine that can deliver up to 126 TOPS, helping with smarter system performance and future AI features.
To manage heat, the Next 2 uses a dual-fan cooling system with two air exhausts. This setup helps keep performance stable during long gaming sessions. The device is powered by a large 116 Wh battery, which is much bigger than most handheld gaming systems on the market.
Control options are one of the highlights. The handheld includes adjustable TMR joysticks, Hall-effect triggers with lock modes, a precise eight-direction D-pad, dual touchpads, four rear buttons, and extra programmable keys. These controls are designed to suit different gaming styles and Windows tasks.
For ports and wireless features, the Next 2 offers two USB4 ports with support for high-speed data and external displays through DisplayPort 1.4. There is also a microSD card slot, a standard headphone jack, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Pricing for the Ayaneo Next 2 starts at USD 1,799. Pre-orders will open soon on Indiegogo, with deliveries expected to begin in June 2026. Ayaneo will offer multiple versions with different memory and storage options to meet different user needs.
