GL.iNet has introduced the Comet 5G, a new remote KVM made for users who need stable and secure access at all times. This device is the first of its kind to support 5G RedCap, a special form of 5G designed for steady and efficient connections.

The Comet 5G is built to stay connected even when networks fail. It supports Ethernet, Wi Fi 6, and 5G, and it can move between them automatically. If the main connection stops working, the device switches to another option without user action. This makes it a strong choice for remote system control, maintenance work, and emergency recovery.

Another useful feature is local access without the internet. The Comet 5G can create its own Wi Fi signal, allowing users nearby to connect directly. This makes setup and control possible even in places where there is no internet access at all, such as secure sites or isolated work areas.

GL.iNet has also increased storage to 64 GB using eMMC memory. This allows users to store more system images and files. With fast transfer speeds reaching up to 25 MB per second, system recovery can be quicker and smoother during critical situations.
Comet 5G availability

The Comet 5G is now open for pre order starting February 5, 2026, through GL.iNet’s official website. Early reservations come with better pricing for a limited time.
