MANGMI has officially launched its new Android gaming handheld, the Pocket Max, and it is already getting attention for its strong features and low price. With a Super Early Bird price of $199, this handheld offers specs that are usually seen in much more expensive devices.

The Pocket Max is powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with the Adreno 650 GPU. This setup is still very capable for Android games and emulation, offering smooth performance for most popular titles. It is a clear step up from MANGMI’s earlier AIR X handheld.

One of the biggest highlights is the large 7 inch OLED display. It runs at a 144Hz refresh rate, which makes games feel very smooth. The screen has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, deep blacks, bright colours, and up to 800 nits of brightness. Compared to the smaller IPS screen on the AIR X, this is a major upgrade and gives the Pocket Max a more premium feel.

The controls are another strong point. MANGMI says this is the first Android handheld with a magnetic modular button system. The buttons use mechanical micro switches for fast and clear clicks. The TMR analog sticks are more accurate and durable than normal sticks, while the Hall Effect triggers are great for racing and shooting games where smooth control matters.

Battery life also gets a boost. The Pocket Max comes with an 8000mAh battery, which is much larger than the one in the AIR X. It also supports 27W fast charging, so users can get back to gaming quickly. For daily use, the device runs Android 13 with the new M SPACE 2.0 interface, designed to keep things simple and easy to use.

Other useful features include active cooling, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type C video output, a headphone jack, and a microSD card slot. Despite the big screen and battery, the handheld weighs around 450 grams and comes in white, black, and a retro Game Boy style colour.

MANGMI Pocket Max launch

The MANGMI Pocket Max launches on February 5, 2026. The $199 Super Early Bird price will be available until February 12, after which the price will go up to $219. For gamers looking for an affordable yet powerful Android handheld with an OLED screen, the Pocket Max looks like a very strong option.
