Crimson Desert has officially gone gold, and that means one thing: the March 19 release is now looking solid. Pearl Abyss confirmed the news on Wednesday, giving fans nearly two months of breathing room before launch.
Going gold doesn’t just sound good, it usually means the game is finished and ready to ship. Unless something unexpected happens, March 19 should see players stepping into Pywel without delays. For a game that’s been in the works for years, that’s a relief.
The timing is interesting. By finishing early, Pearl Abyss is signalling confidence. They’ve also used the announcement to thank fans worldwide for their patience, which makes sense given the long wait between teasers and actual gameplay.
The game itself isn’t cheap. Crimson Desert will cost $69.99 (around £55). There’s also a Deluxe Edition at $79.99 (roughly £63), which adds the Kairos Plate Set, the Balgran Shield, and Exclaire Horse Tack Set. It’s the kind of edition that will appeal to those who like a little extra flair at the start.

When it drops, Crimson Desert available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. The big question now is whether the game will live up to expectations. With development wrapped early and the gold build locked, fans can at least be confident that launch day won’t be delayed.
March can’t come soon enough, and Pywel is almost ready for its next wave of adventurers.
