Resident Evil Requiem

Leon S. Kennedy is back, and fans finally have proof. After months of rumours and leaks, Resident Evil Requiem has confirmed his return with a trailer at The Game Awards. He’s older, a bit ragged, but still the hero we know and love.

The trailer doesn’t stop there. It teases a new villain, Dr Gideon, who looks dark, dangerous, and full of mystery. We also get a glimpse of Leon in action. The combat is brutal, visceral, and up close, promising tense encounters and high stakes.

With the game launching on 27 February 2026, this first look was long overdue. Both Leon and Grace will face terrifying enemies, and it’ll be interesting to see how their playstyles differ. More details on combat and enemy design should drop soon.

Even from a short demo at Gamescom 2025, the atmosphere was intense. The world already feels alive and threatening, and if the full game matches this, it could be a standout survival horror experience.

Resident Evil Requiem will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2. Fans are now counting down the days.
