Nioh 3 lines up January demo on PS5 and PC, save data carries over

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja used The Game Awards 2025 to lock in a new demo for Nioh 3. It launches on 29 January 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, giving PC players their first proper taste of the sequel.

The demo supports solo play and online co-op with up to three others. There’s a catch, though. Crossplay is not supported, and that restriction carries over to the full game. The good news is progress made in the demo will transfer straight into the final release.

Pre-orders are now live. The Standard Edition costs $79.99 (around £63), while the Digital Deluxe Edition is $119.99 (around £94) and includes the Season Pass and bonus gear. Two DLC packs are planned for late 2026 and early 2027.

Nioh 3 launches on 6 February 2026 for PS5 and PC. Early impressions say this is Team Ninja at full strength, without the brutal difficulty spikes.
