Total War: Medieval III officially revealed, but the wait could be brutal

After years of rumours and wishful thinking, Total War: MEDIEVAL III has finally been revealed. SEGA and Creative Assembly confirmed the return of the legendary historical series with a first trailer and some early details. And yes, this is a full return to real medieval warfare.

Total War: MEDIEVAL III – Announce Trailer

The game is still in early development, but the ambition is already clear. This is being built as the ultimate medieval strategy experience. Kingdom building. Dynasties rising and falling. History rewritten by the player’s hand. Creative Assembly says this is more than just another sequel. They want it to feel like a true evolution of the classic Medieval formula.

But here’s the reality check. There’s no release date. There’s no Steam page. And the trailer? It’s pure mood. No gameplay. No in-engine footage. Not even early screenshots. All we’ve seen so far is concept art and a promise of what’s coming.

In other words, this is going to be a long wait. A very long wait. A 2027 or even 2028 launch feels likely at this stage. Still, the fact that Total War: MEDIEVAL III is finally confirmed is enough to send strategy fans into full hype mode. The medieval age is calling again.
