Hades II has officially left Early Access, and fans are diving back in. The full 1.0 release went live on September 25, nearly a year after its Early Access debut.

Hades II v1.0 Launch trailer

Within just three hours of launch, Hades II hit 84,232 concurrent players on Steam, according to SteamDB. While shy of its all-time peak of 103,567, numbers are expected to climb as the weekend arrives. The game already held an Overwhelmingly Positive 97% rating, but launch day brought a flood of fresh reviews, over 900 new positives in just a few hours.

The 1.0 update packs plenty of new content. Players can now experience the true ending of Melinoë’s rebellion, unlock 50 achievements, and enjoy updated visuals, new music, and collectible Keepsakes. There are also customisable Familiars and fresh decorations to earn.

Developer Supergiant Games says the team will take a break after launch, focusing only on post-release fixes for now. That means new content isn’t on the horizon just yet.

Hades II - gameplay shot

Hades II is available for $29.99 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and Epic Games Store. If the Early Access buzz is anything to go by, this roguelike sequel is set for another explosive run.
