Forza Horizon 6 set to thrill fans with Japan in 2026

Forza Horizon 6

The next chapter in the Forza Horizon series is finally here. Forza Horizon 6 has been announced and will arrive in 2026 on PC and Xbox. This time, players will be taken to Japan, a location fans have been asking for since the very first game.

The announcement was made during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 showcase with a short but exciting trailer. Development is once again in the hands of Playground Games, joined by Turn10, the team behind Forza Motorsport.

According to Art Director Don Arceta and Cultural Consultant Kyoko Yamashita, Japan offers the perfect mix of old and new. From peaceful shrines to buzzing city workshops, the country’s landscapes will give players a wide range of driving experiences. They added that modern technology now makes it possible to bring Japan’s detail and character to life in ways never seen before.

A big part of the experience will be the improved seasonal system. Each season will not just change the weather but also affect the world in deeper ways. Players will notice the difference in how the world looks, feels, and even sounds, making every drive unique to the time of year.
