Fallout 76 - C.A.M.P revamp

Bethesda Game Studios has rolled out a new Fallout 76 update, introducing a major overhaul to the game’s C.A.M.P. system. The update aims to give players more freedom and smoother tools for creating their in-game bases.

Game Director Jon Rush explained in a developer preview that the revamped workshop menu now features a more organised structure. Items are arranged into main categories and subcategories, making it quicker to find building pieces. For example, the lighting category is split into freestanding and wall-mounted options, streamlining the process.

Another key improvement is the removal of certain placement restrictions. Players can now toggle snapping, intersecting, and free placement, opening up far more creative possibilities. This is especially welcome for fans who enjoy crafting ambitious “sky camps” and other unique structures.

To celebrate the changes, Bethesda also plans to launch monthly C.A.M.P. building competitions later this year, offering major rewards to the most creative builders. With these updates, Fallout 76 continues to focus on its community-driven approach, giving players new ways to shape the wasteland to their liking.
