5th Column Studio has lifted the curtain on Kaidan, a new extraction-lite drenched in Japanese dark fantasy and cosmic horror. The game is confirmed for PC via Steam, though no release date has been shared.
Kaidan official reveal trailer
Kaidan casts you as a Seeker, a soul pulled back from the brink after striking a deal with The Envoy. Your mission is clear but brutal – return to the land of Ikaiguchi and rip the voices from the dreaded Chordbearers. What was once a tranquil home is now a nightmare of desecrated temples, cursed villages, and haunted realms where the veil between worlds has all but collapsed.

The game promises relentless combat against horrific Yokai and towering bosses. Players can go alone or team up with allies, with survival hinging on careful preparation and ruthless execution. Every mission demands balance – carry enough supplies and tools to endure, but don’t forget the relics that could turn the tide later.
Character management also plays a key role, as each Seeker brings unique strengths and weaknesses to the battlefield. Weapons and abilities can be customised and upgraded, offering more options against the horrors waiting in the mist.
Kaidan is shaping up to be a grim, high-stakes journey where every mistake could cost you everything. Will you survive Ikaiguchi, or be consumed by madness?
