Elysium Game Studio has dropped a new Gamescom 2025 gameplay trailer for Neo Berlin 2087. It’s a deeper look at the progress made since last year, and the cyberpunk detective vibe is stronger than ever.
Neo Berlin 2087 – Gamescom 2025 gameplay trailer
The game blends first-person and third-person play. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it promises a movie-like story in a dark future Berlin. You play as Detective Nolan, using unique skills to read behaviour, track clues, and even hack minds. Every memory, emotion, and thought could crack the case.

Neo Berlin 2087 is an indie project, not a triple-A giant. The visuals look sharp, but the voice work is rough. Don’t expect blockbuster polish – this is a double-A game. And that’s fine.
Influences are clear. The cyberpunk mood screams Deus Ex. The slow-motion shootouts echo Max Payne. With no new Deus Ex in sight, this might scratch that itch.
The devs have been open, sharing plenty of gameplay clips. This isn’t shaping up to be another MindsEye situation. Still, expect the usual internet noise – “asset flip,” “amateur,” “Netflix Deus Ex.” The same crowd that trashed Clair Obscur before it blew up will be here too.

No release date yet. No PC specs either. For now, it’s wait and watch.
