Tencent and SmileGate have revealed CrossFire: Rainbow, a first-person horror game set in the CrossFire universe. It’s being developed by Linlangtianshang and promises a mix of tactical gunplay and supernatural terror.

The premise is simple but chilling. When something unstoppable emerges from the shadows, the battlefield becomes a nightmare. Players will explore eerie locations, fight terrifying enemies, and face a disturbing twist – sometimes, the threat will be their own reflection.

Details are scarce. There’s no release date. No Steam or Epic Games Store page. Just a trailer. But it’s a solid one. It’s packed with actual gameplay, not flashy CG or overproduced cutscenes. Yes, it could be scripted, but it fits the feel of a Unreal Engine 5 project.

Visually, it’s impressive. The lighting, shadows, and atmosphere all nail the horror vibe while keeping the tactical shooter roots intact.

For now, that’s all we know. Tencent is keeping things quiet. If you want a taste, the only thing to do is watch the trailer — and maybe keep the lights on.
