Techland has dropped a new Dying Light: The Beast trailer, and it’s not for the faint-hearted. This isn’t a story deep dive or a world-building showcase. No, this is a sizzle reel of pure, unfiltered gore.
We’re talking limbs flying, flesh peeling, and blood spraying everywhere. If you’re squeamish, you might want to give this one a pass. But if you enjoy watching zombies get torn apart in the most brutal ways imaginable, you’re in for a treat.
Dying Light: The Beast new trailer
Techland says this “primal brutality” isn’t just for shock value. It’s all about showing Kyle Crane’s hunger for revenge. After spending a decade locked up and experimented on, Crane’s rage has finally snapped. And the infected are about to feel every ounce of it.
Franchise director Tymon Smektała isn’t holding back. “It’s one thing to see a health bar go down; it’s another to see flesh peel from bone,” he said. “That’s how nightmares are made.”

To nail that horrifying level of detail, Techland’s art team went deep into body horror. They even recreated injuries with fake blood on a live actor. Lead character artist Dominik Wasieńko joked, “I just hope no one ever looks up my browser history.”

Dying Light: The Beast was recently delayed. It will now launch on September 19 for PC, PS5, and Xbox. Until then, this trailer should be enough to feed your inner sadist.
