Nacon and Rogue Factor are bringing Hell is Us to consoles with a brand-new demo. PS5 and Xbox players can dive in starting August 12.
The demo isn’t exactly new. It first dropped on PC back on June 2. But it was pulled from Steam on June 24. Now, console gamers get their turn to explore its brutal world.
The full game launches September 4 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
No maps, no markers, no hand-holding
Hell is Us is not your typical open-world RPG. Forget quest logs. Forget objective markers. There’s no map. No compass. You’re on your own. Exploration is all about gut instinct and curiosity.
The game’s main theme is that the “History always repeats itself.” Uncover relics from the past, and you’ll see reflections of today’s chaos.

And chaos it is. A civil war tears the country apart. But that’s just the start. A mysterious disaster has unleashed supernatural horrors immune to guns. You’ll need cold steel and a trusty drone to fight back.
Hell is Us combat is personal, and so is the story
Combat is brutal and up close. Swords, axes, spears, you’ll need them all. But it’s not just about swinging weapons. Your drone will be key to surviving battles against twisted chimeras.

Narrative-wise, Hell is Us dives deep into the endless cycle of human violence. Creative director Jacques-Belletête wants players to feel how emotions fuel destruction.
Expect a mature experience. Blood, strong language, nudity, the game doesn’t hold back.
