Dying Light: The Beast delayed by four weeks, Techland wants more time to polish

Dying Light: The Beast - Enemy

Techland has delayed Dying Light: The Beast by four weeks. Originally set for 22 August, the game will now launch on 19 September 2025.

The studio says it needs extra time to polish key areas, including gameplay balance, UI clarity, physics, cutscenes, and animations.

Dying Light delayed by 4 weeks

“With just four additional weeks, we can address final details that make all the difference between good and great,” Techland said in a statement to fans.

The delay is likely a response to the rocky launch of Dying Light 2, which struggled at release but improved over time. Techland seems keen to avoid a repeat.

If you’re going to Gamescom, The Beast will be playable in Hall 6. A new development diary focused on gore design is also dropping next week, narrated by fan-favourite Bober the Beaver.
