The Outer Worlds 2 price drops to $69.99 ahead of October launch

The Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 will now cost $69.99 (about £55) at launch. It was originally priced at $79.99 (around £62). Obsidian Entertainment confirmed the change ahead of its October 29 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox.

The $80 price tag didn’t sit well with fans. The series isn’t a major hit. Pricing it that high felt wrong. The drop makes sense.

Dear Galactic Citizens! We have received your SOS via skip drone about the pricing. As an organization devoted to making sure that corporations do not go unfettered, we at the Earth Directorate have worked with [REDACTED] to revise the price of The Outer Worlds 2.

Better gameplay in The Outer Worlds 2

The game was featured during the Xbox Showcase last month. A follow-up Direct showed more gameplay. The tone is still sarcastic. But the action looks faster and smoother.

The first game had great writing and characters. Combat was its weak point. Critics called it dull. This sequel looks to fix that.

It has a bigger budget and better polish. If Obsidian pulls it off, this could be the game fans wanted the first time.

The Outer Worlds 2 drops on October 29. Cheaper price. Better combat.
