Borderlands 4 is now up for pre-order. Gearbox Software has revealed the PC requirements. They’re lighter than expected for an Unreal Engine 5 game.

Fans were worried when Randy Pitchford delayed the pricing reveal. Some feared a price above £80. That’s not the case. The pricing is standard.

The game runs on Unreal Engine 5. It features the biggest open world in the series. But the specs are still manageable.

For a next-gen title, these specs are fair. Other Unreal Engine 5 games ask for more. The world is seamless. No loading screens. If you see it, you can go there. Movement is faster. You can dodge, glide, and grapple. No double jump, though.

Co-op is back. It supports drop-in, drop-out. Cross-play works. A SHiFT account is required.

Borderlands 4 launches on 12 September. It’s coming to PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2.
