Borderlands 4 pre-orders start with thrilling new content and deluxe editions

Borderlands 4 is now up for pre-order. 2K and Gearbox Software have confirmed the release date: 12 September 2025. It will launch on PS5, Xbox, and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. A Switch 2 version is also coming later this year.

Borderlands 4 editions detailed

There are three versions of the game:

  • Standard Edition (£55 / $69.99): Includes just the base game.
  • Deluxe Edition (£78 / $99.99): Comes with the Bounty Pack Bundle. This adds four DLCs with missions, areas, bosses, Vault Cards, vehicles, cosmetics, and the Firehawk’s Fury Weapon Skin.
  • Super Deluxe Edition (£101 / $129.99): Has everything in the Deluxe version. Plus, it adds two Story Packs, new map regions, extra gear, ECHO-4 cosmetics, and the Ornate Order Pack with skins, heads, and bodies.

Every pre-order includes the Gilded Glory Pack. It gives you a Vault Hunter Skin, a Weapon Skin, and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin.

Borderlands\’ Post-launch roadmap confirmed

The game will have free and paid post-launch content. Most of it is tied to the Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions. More details will be shared closer to launch.

2K president David Ismailer said the game pushes the series forward. Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford said it’s perfect for new players and also made for long-time fans.
