Razer has launched the BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones, marking its entry into the barebones keyboard market for the first time. Designed for keyboard modders and DIY fans, this new model offers a strong foundation for users who want to build their own mechanical keyboard from the ground up.
This compact 75% layout comes in Black or White and supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, giving users full flexibility to choose their preferred feel and sound. It also supports custom keycaps, making it easy to create a setup that’s truly personal.
The BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones carries over the solid build quality of Razer’s previous keyboards but adds features aimed at enthusiasts. It includes dual-layer dampening foam to reduce noise and vibration, factory-lubricated stabilisers for smoother keystrokes, an FR4 plate for deeper acoustics, and pre-applied tape to soften higher-pitched sounds. These features help create a better and more refined typing experience.
Performance is also a top priority. The keyboard uses Razer’s 8000 Hz HyperPolling technology, allowing it to respond eight times faster than standard gaming keyboards—ideal for competitive gaming and low-latency input. For visuals, it comes with bright per-key RGB lighting and side underglow, powered by Razer Chroma RGB. Lighting can be synced across more than 300 supported games and applications.
To complete the build, Razer offers Mechanical Switches Gen-3 in packs of 36. Users can choose between the clicky Green, smooth Yellow, or tactile Orange switches, depending on their typing or gaming needs.
