Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have announced Nioh 3 for PlayStation 5 and PC, set to release in early 2026. An Alpha Demo is available now on PS5 via the PlayStation Store until June 18.

Nioh 3: two fighting styles and multiplayer

Nioh 3 takes place in an open field where players can explore freely while facing tough challenges. Expect battles against powerful yokai, mysterious villages, and difficult trials in The Crucible. The game promises new hostile environments to test your skills.

Players can choose between two fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja. You can switch between them anytime or stick to one style.

• Samurai style offers a classic Nioh experience with new moves like “Arts Proficiency,” which boosts martial arts power, and “Deflect,” to block attacks at the last moment.
• Ninja style focuses on speed and agility, with moves like “Mist,” which creates a clone after attacking, and “Evade,” allowing you to narrowly dodge strikes.

Multiplayer features include “Summon Visitor” mode to call or assist other players and “Expeditions,” letting you explore with others online.

Overall, Nioh 3 looks to bring the series’ challenging combat and exploration to a wider stage. The Alpha Demo on PS5 is live now.
