Rainbow Six Siege hands out strange 67-day bans as players fear more trouble

Rainbow Six Siege X

Rainbow Six Siege just can’t seem to catch a break. After last month’s high-profile hack and emergency shutdowns, players are now reporting a fresh wave of bans. The odd part is the length. Many are being suspended for exactly 67 days, a number that has instantly raised eyebrows across the community.

For context, Rainbow Six Siege was taken offline late last month after a serious security breach. Players suddenly had access to developer-only cosmetics, absurd amounts of credits, and Marketplace features they were never meant to touch. Ubisoft responded by shutting down servers and the Marketplace, later confirming a full rollback of affected transactions.

Fast forward to now, and bans are appearing again. Screenshots shared online, including one highlighted by vxunderground and later picked up by Dexerto, show 67-day bans allegedly issued for “harassment”. Ubisoft hasn’t explained why that specific number is being used, and the timing has only made players more suspicious.

Adding fuel to the fire, the official Rainbow Six Siege status page currently lists four unplanned issues across all platforms. Naturally, that has led to renewed fears that the game may have been compromised again. At the time of writing, Ubisoft has not confirmed a second hack.

The publisher previously said it was running extensive checks to protect account integrity after the rollback. If that process is still ongoing, these bans may be part of it. Or they may be something else entirely.

Either way, Siege players are once again left in limbo, waiting for clear answers.
