Riot Games may have accidentally revealed the console release date for 2XKO. The 2v2 fighting game, set in the League of Legends universe, is already in open beta on PC. Console players have been waiting for months for any news.
The studio previously confirmed a 2026 launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox, but no exact date was shared. That changed briefly when a trailer appeared on Riot’s official YouTube channel. It didn’t last long. The video was quickly pulled.

January 20 looks likely
Screenshots from the trailer suggest 2XKO could land on consoles as early as January 20, 2026. There’s no mention of a Nintendo Switch release, so the game seems limited to PS5 and Xbox for now.
Riot hasn’t explained why the trailer was removed. It could mean the date isn’t final, or maybe the studio didn’t want the announcement lost over the New Year celebrations. Either way, it gives fans their first hint of when they might finally play.

Until Riot confirms anything officially, treat the date as tentative. But if January 20 holds up, console players won’t have to wait long to jump into tag-team fights in the League of Legends world.
