Remedy Entertainment finally pulled back the curtain on the next Control game at The Game Awards 2025. Titled Control: Resonant, it’s set to launch in 2026, and the reveal trailer already has fans buzzing.
The Control series started in 2019 with Jesse Faden exploring the mysterious Oldest House. The first game won critical acclaim and multiple awards, while the 2025 spinoff FBC: Firebreak fell short of expectations. Still, fans have been waiting for Jesse’s next adventure, and it looks like Remedy is ready to deliver.
Control Resonant announcement trailer from TGA 2025
The trailer was wild. It opened with a floating figure on stage before diving into a mix of cinematic moments and gameplay. The Oldest House’s curse has spread to New York, warping reality in classic fashion. Objects float, streets twist, and chaos takes over.
There’s a new protagonist in the spotlight, but Jesse isn’t gone. Her voice appears near the end, and she briefly shows up on screen, hinting she’ll play a role in the story.
Control: Resonant looks more action-packed than its predecessor. Swordplay, open-air combat, and fast movement shake up the familiar formula while keeping Remedy’s signature style intact.

With a 2026 release, fans won’t have long to wait. Jesse’s back, the Oldest House is expanding, and chaos is coming to the streets of New York.
