Looks like Resident Evil 0 is next in line for the remake treatment. According to MP1st, Capcom is quietly working on the project under the codename Chamber, with a release date likely set for 2028.
The same report supports Dusk Golem’s earlier claims that Resident Evil Code Veronica is also getting a remake and could drop in early 2027. If true, Capcom might be gearing up for a full-blown revival of its classic era.
Interestingly, actor Jon McLaren, who voiced Star-Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, is reportedly stepping into the role of Billy Coen. His résumé lists a project called Chamber, which lines up with the report.

The Resident Evil 0 remake isn’t just a visual upgrade either. A new storyline is said to be in development, adding a familiar Resident Evil character to the plot and giving them a bigger role this time around.

With the franchise’s 30th anniversary and Resident Evil Requiem launching in February, eyes are now on the upcoming anniversary video on 29th October. Could that be when Capcom finally pulls back the curtain?
