Battlefield 6 just got its first round of tweaks, and you didn’t even have to lift a finger. Battlefield Studios, that’s DICE, Ripple Effect, Criterion, and Motive, confirmed that the first batch of balancing changes went live without a patch. Everything was handled server-side.
Here’s what’s changed: Rush now runs with 100 tickets instead of 75 on some maps, the M2010 ESR’s muzzle velocity has dropped from 900 to 800 m/s, and the PSR’s went from 750 to 720 m/s. Shotguns also behave more realistically now, with drag affecting projectiles for the first time.

It’s a light touch for a game that’s already made waves since launch, breaking Steam concurrency records and scoring strong reviews across the board. Still, fans have plenty of feedback, and Battlefield Studios says this is only the start of ongoing balance work.
On the anti-cheat front, it seems the crackdown has begun. Reports on Reddit suggest that Battlefield 6 players using Cronus Zen devices are getting permabanned. The makers of the device even warned users to stop for now, saying they’re “actively testing to understand what’s causing it.”

If nothing else, it’s a clear message, Battlefield 6 isn’t pulling punches.
