TerraMaster has launched the F4-425, a four-bay NAS built to give home users faster performance, secure backup, and smooth streaming. As the follow-up to the F4-212, this new model switches from Arm to Intel, making it much more powerful for everyday use.

The TerraMaster F4-425 is powered by an Intel N5095 quad-core processor and 4 GB of DDR memory, giving about 40% better performance than Arm-based systems. With a 2.5GbE port, it can reach speeds of up to 283 MB/s, more than twice as fast as standard Gigabit connections. It also runs on the updated TOS 6 operating system, which is quicker, smoother, and more responsive with over 370 improvements.

This NAS doubles as an entertainment hub. It supports Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, and DLNA, making it easy to stream 4K H.265 videos across smart TVs, tablets, and phones. Families can enjoy movies at home with a cinema-like experience, while Jellyfin offers a free open-source option.
For photos, the AI Smart Album can automatically sort pictures by faces, pets, and events, helping users manage large photo collections. With the TNAS Mobile app, photos and videos can be browsed and shared anytime, anywhere.

Data safety is another key feature. The NAS includes TerraSync, CloudSync, ransomware protection, two-factor login, and strong encryption. Snapshots can restore up to 32 older versions of files, while the TRAID system helps save storage space.
In terms of design, the F4-425 is quiet and user-friendly. The tool-free trays make swapping drives quick and easy, while noise levels remain as low as 21dB. It supports up to 120TB of total storage and offers USB 3.2 ports for extra expansion.
The F4-425 is aimed at both families and professionals who want safe storage and 4K streaming at home. It comes with a two-year warranty and lifetime support, available now through TerraMaster and official retailers.
