Open-world base-building game StarRupture will enter Early Access on PC via Steam on January 6, 2026, developer Creepy Jar has confirmed.

The game first caught major attention during its open playtest earlier this year. Over 158,000 players joined in, clocking nearly 200,000 hours of gameplay watched on livestreams. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with a 91% approval rating and a peak of 6,701 concurrent players. Thanks to that momentum, the game has now crossed 500,000 wishlists on Steam.

Creepy Jar’s CEO Krzysztof Kwiatek said the team was thrilled with the feedback. “Our concept for this game is a unique blend of existing genres, base building, exploration, combat, and survival, and players clearly enjoyed it,” he explained.

Originally slated for Autumn 2025, the launch was delayed to allow for more polish and refinement. The studio said the extra time will help deliver the StarRupture experience fans deserve.

In StarRupture, players step into the role of a prisoner sent to survive on the hostile planet Arcadia-7. Beyond building and defending a base, they must also contend with the deadliest force of all—the unstable star Ruptura.

With solo and four-player cooperative play, the game promises a mix of danger, mystery, and survival that sets it apart from traditional base-building titles.

StarRupture arrives on Steam Early Access in early 2026, aiming to turn player enthusiasm into a fully realised adventure.
