The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has taken another leap forward on PC thanks to a brand-new 4K texture pack. Released by modder HDPacks, the upgrade completely refreshes the game’s visuals, making environments, characters, and terrain look sharper than ever while staying true to Nintendo’s art direction.

Unlike many simple AI upscales, this pack brings deeper changes. Textures have been reworked to improve memory use and speed up loading times, with extra tweaks to fix visual glitches inside shrines. For players with high-end PCs, the textures can run uncompressed for maximum quality, while those with lower VRAM can switch to a recompressed format for smoother performance.

The result is a version of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom that feels closer to a full remaster than just a visual boost. With support for 4K resolution and enhanced textures, the game now delivers a level of detail fans hope to see in future official re-releases.

This latest release follows a similar upgrade for Breath of the Wild earlier this year, showing how far the modding community has gone in improving Nintendo’s biggest titles. While Switch players may need to wait for a hardware refresh, PC gamers can already enjoy a glimpse of what a next-gen Zelda might look like.
