The Unbreakable X-Men are finally stepping into the arena of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Sony’s February 2026 State of Play confirmed the team’s arrival and gave players a closer look at what to expect when the game drops on 6 August 2026 for PC and PS5.

Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger headline the first team reveal. They’re all playable fighters in a roster set to launch with 20 characters. Each hero brings their own fighting style, promising fast-paced, combo-heavy battles that should keep tag-team fans busy.

The spotlight also went to Episode Mode, the game’s story-driven feature. Instead of traditional cutscenes, the narrative unfolds as motion comics, blending Japanese manga visuals with American comic storytelling. According to producer Takeshi Yamanaka, these X-Men are the only ones ready to face a new threat after a recent battle left the rest of the squad weakened. Mutants remain distrusted by humanity, but they continue to fight anyway.

One thing that didn’t show up? The FlexStrike fight stick. PlayStation hinted at it before, but there’s no sign of it arriving with the August launch.

With the roster just getting started, fans can expect more reveals before release. Between Episode Mode and the new X-Men team, August is shaping up to be a packed month for fighting game fans.
