Ubisoft has reportedly cancelled a sequel to Star Wars Outlaws. It was scrapped early. The game never made it into full production.
The rumour comes from Tom Henderson on the Insider Gaming podcast. He said Outlaws 2 was “very, very early.” It hadn’t really started. Mike Straw joked it was “seven years away” anyway.
Star Wars Outlaws didn’t hit the mark
Outlaws flopped. Sales were weak. Reviews were mixed. Players weren’t happy. Ubisoft had to push big updates to fix it.

Even the game’s director admitted the response was disappointing.
Just days ago, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot blamed the poor sales on Star Wars itself. He said the IP was “in choppy waters” at launch.
Star Wars Outlaws also caused delays. Ubisoft pushed Assassin’s Creed Shadows out of 2024. It’s now set for March 2025.

With all that, the sequel being dropped isn’t a big surprise. Ubisoft hasn’t had anything good to say about Outlaws since it launched.
