Thermaltake unveils the mighty Toughpower i2000W for heavy PC builds

Thermaltake has officially launched its strongest power supply yet, called the Toughpower i2000W. This new unit is not made for normal gaming systems. Instead, the Toughpower i2000W is built for people who work with artificial intelligence, heavy computing tasks, and multi-GPU setups.

The Toughpower i2000W delivers a massive 2,000 watts of continuous power. This level of power is mainly useful for AI systems that use very high-end graphics cards. It is designed for users running advanced GPUs at home, in offices, or at universities where AI work is common.

One of the biggest highlights of the Toughpower i2000W is its support for four native 12V-2×6 connectors. This allows users to connect up to four modern graphics cards at the same time. These connectors are made for the latest PCI-Express 5.1 GPUs and help deliver stable and safe power during heavy workloads.

The Toughpower i2000W comes with an 80 PLUS Platinum rating. This means it can reach up to 92 percent power efficiency. Higher efficiency helps reduce wasted energy and keeps heat levels lower. Inside the unit, Thermaltake uses high-quality Japanese capacitors, strong aluminium heatsinks, and a large 140mm cooling fan.

The cooling fan supports PWM control and Smart Zero Fan mode. This allows the Toughpower i2000W to stay completely silent when the system load is low or temperatures are under control.

Thermaltake has also focused on safety with the power connectors. The 16-pin GPU connectors are painted so users can easily check if they are fully inserted. If no black colour is visible, the connection is secure, helping avoid common power connection problems.

The Toughpower i2000W fully supports the Intel ATX 3.1 standard. This improves power spike handling and response time, which is very important for modern GPUs. It also features a fully modular design with slim cables, making cable management easier and improving airflow inside the PC case.

Another useful feature of the Toughpower i2000W is the built-in USB-C port. After connecting it to a PC, users can monitor voltage, power usage, efficiency, and temperature using Thermaltake software. This data can also be checked remotely through an internet connection, which is helpful for professional and AI setups.

Users can switch between single-rail and multi-rail modes for the +12V lines. This allows better control over power delivery and safety based on system needs. The Toughpower i2000W includes full protection features such as over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, short-circuit, over-power, and over-temperature protection.

Thermaltake says the PSU has a lifespan of at least 100,000 operating hours, which equals more than 11 years of use. Because of this long life, the power supply comes with a strong 10-year warranty.

Toughpower i2000W pricing and availability

The official price has not been confirmed yet. However, the Toughpower i2000W is expected to cost around €1,000 when it becomes available on the market.

With its huge power output, smart monitoring features, and strong safety design, the Toughpower i2000W clearly targets the future of AI computing and professional PC builds.
