Creative Assembly just dropped a bomb at The Game Awards 2025. Total War: Warhammer 40,000 is real, and it’s bringing the franchise to the grimdark future. Stranger Things’ David Harbour is on board too, playing a mysterious character we don’t know much about yet.
Total War: Warhammer 40000 World Premiere Trailer
This is huge for Total War fans. For the first time ever, the series is hitting consoles. PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC players will all be able to dive in. The first trailer gives a taste of what’s coming, massive battles stretching across multiple planets. The scale here looks insane.
Four factions are confirmed so far. Space Marines are few, but brutal and precise. Orks are chaotic and endless, crashing into enemies with total destruction in mind. Aeldari are fast, elusive, and deadly, hitting and disappearing before you can react. Astra Militarum bring disciplined soldiers, tanks, and artillery to grind enemies into dust.

No release window has been revealed yet. Fans will have to wait, but the trailer and factions already make it clear this is one of the boldest Total War games ever.
