This is a first-person adventure game with a twist—it blends solo exploration with multiplayer-driven storytelling. Players take on the role of Tidewalkers in a flooded world, where other players’ choices can directly shape their journey.
“In this ruthless ocean world, you play as Tidewalkers, who witness echoes of other players’ actions,” said game director Adrien Poncet. “You’ll have to deal with the consequences. It’s up to you to cooperate… or make waves.”

According to producer Kevin Bard, the idea is simple: “Your story changes based on the players you choose to follow. Will you follow friends, streamers, or total strangers?” That question isn’t just for fun, it can completely alter your gameplay.

A closer look at the Tides of Tomorrow
Tides of Tomorrow is set on Elynd, a once-inhabited planet now struggling after a massive flood. With a toxic plastification threat spreading, players must explore floating platforms, gather resources, and search for a cure. The world reacts not just to your own decisions but to the actions of others in real time.
You’ll meet different characters with their own goals, personalities, and views. Some may help you, others might become enemies depending on your choices. What’s unique is that you also see how your friends or favourite streamers influence your world. That adds an unpredictable, reactive layer to the story.

Features
- Your story shifts depending on whose path you follow
- Explore floating islands and gather resources to survive
- Meet characters who remember your decisions
- Watch as your friends’ choices shape your adventure

Tides of Tomorrow isn’t just another narrative game; it’s trying something new by letting outside decisions shape your playthrough. With the studio’s experience in story-rich games like Road 96, this might be one to watch when it lands early next year.
